I liked the first episode but I thought tonight's was awful. I'll persevere a little longer but the Nordschleife piece was diabolical in particular.

I thought tonight's episode was ok,but the 'Ring bit was misleading, to say the least, trying to make out that Schabin Schmidt didn't know the track like "the locals", when she is an expert on it,and a racing driver, lol

Didn't like the guest this week, first two were better..,.Should stick with Scots actors/actresses,haha

I thought this episode was possibly the best one the presenting team have had, pretty much flawless from them every part just seemed natural and starting to prefer MLB over Clarkson in the car reviews on track... Still not to the banter levels of the old 3 but it's becoming a really good show and think I may prefer it to the grand tour

I really enjoyed the Nordschleife piece, found it quite humorous, in a German sort of way. Each to there own as they say.

Just watched the latest episode on iPlayer. Best yet
Having said that I had the luxury of being able to fast forward the 'star in the car' dross.
Liked all the other features especially the Golf driven by whats her name taking on Porsche GT4's etc at the ring :driving:

Sabine Schmitz. If she can race a transit van round there i bet the golf was a dream. I reckon there aren't many who know the track as well as she does.

Amazing how the show draws different views, majority appears to be in favour though. I watched it last night and thought it was good, more like the earlier versions. MLB is bound to increase the female viewing figures.

When Sabine drove the transit around the Nurburgring, she was introduced as someone who has driven around that track thousands and thousands of times!

Loved the bit on the DB11 (Some motor) until they spoilt it at the end, loved the bit on the Golf but spoilt it when driving around the track trying to get everyone to believe that an average driver can beat up a 911 or a Lambo. Have found the best way to watch it though, record it or on catch up. Then you can fast forward all the bits where the presenters talk. They are so wooden and obviously reading an autocue. They are much better on fast forward.

Disagree with your take on the Golf article. People watching TG know who the driver is and most will get it. An experienced race driver in a Decent Hot Hatch can beat us average numbties in other fast cars. Simple and good fun to watch. IMHO. I recall the driver of a Porker GT3 following me around for over half a lap, after he let me through in a FIAT Coupe, watching my lines (for some reason known only to him) before blasting past me out of the last corner.

Probably knew you had superior circuit knowledge and didn't want the embarrassment of being re-taken so waited until the end to overtake. Same mentality on the motorways when someone blasts past you only to turn off at the next exit.

Using iPlayer now - just as well, as I seem to be fast-forwarding more than I'm watching. Skipped 'Tiny' and 'Twingo', which left the rest watchable.
