They don't ever seem to sell at those prices tho...or it takes forever. Or you think they've sold and then you see it relisted a month later

Of course its a fickle market that we do know but it isn't that hard to work it out  dealers obviously try speculative ask prices but in reality if you break down the actual car itself that is most likely the reason it hasn't sold as opposed to its price ?
Whether that be iffy colour scheme , iffy history , poorly specced , high miles & that's before any potential buyer even makes a trip to see a car which is most likely hours away to then find possible stone chipped front end , seat wear , raggy alloys or tired discs & tyres etc :(
There aren't that many to choose from at any one time but the ones that can tick out the most boxes & still be under the price of all its rivals must surely stand out as a decent buy :? Maybe not with £3k added by a dealer but as it stands the OPs car is far from pricey imo

Fair points, no one's even been to see the car yet but hopefully it ticks enough boxes when somebody does!

I think it comes back to the view that there are only so many people buying 10-year-old performance cars within a market at a certain time. Most folk would rather spend their £600+ a month on a new PCP'd 240i or similar, to then find they own jack s**t equity of the car when they come to chop it in after 36 months. Weirdly, people don't seem to value real 'ownership' anymore, perception of my 66 plate car is more important, it seems the normal British mentality.

If I were you I'd take it off the market and sell it in the spring. People should be biting your hand off at that price.
