Could be Gaz, although the surge protector, I'm assuming that's what it is, in the boot before the battery is fine.

John. Not sure you are but I have a spare battery you can test the car with. It was on the Zed and not lasting long but it will be ok for this excercise

Popped a new battery on it today, all dash lights lit, fired up like it's been stood 2 minutes, took it for a blast...again reminded just what a fantastic car the M is...raw, basic, FUN..!! :thumbsup:

Battery registration isn't required for this generation of Z4.
06 Z4MC, Sapphire black, Aero sideskirts, BMW strutbrace, CSL's, Remus back boxes, Intravee and Alpine DAB

No, just installed it, left it a few mins then fired it Ron, all dash lights out, away we went..!

I would still like to know what that "crack" was tho!

Euro wanted over £140 for a 3 year warranty battery, picked one up in Halfords, not their own brand, for £115 with a 5 year warranty, should have been £128 but it was on the wrong shelf, I think the lady took pity on the oxygen tank... :lol:

I'm 99% sure the crack was the battery shorting, I think it dropped a cell and shorted as i went to start the car the last time.
