I have to agree with the above. Mine are due a paint this summer - will be staying/going black with silver springs/clips.

my little St has red calipers form the factory so a really good finish, but again on sliding calipers and it looks really nice.

Evening buddy
I had this decision to make when I had my oem brakes
And all agree they look nothing special
So I couldn't bring myself to paint a bright colour
However I did do gloss black vht
And bright silver hammerite on discs
And I was v happy as looked fresh and not in face
I'd simply paint straight over the top buddy
Ps that's copper grease in pic
As below

Go for black or athracite with bright silver spring clip, back of pads painted black if not already black
Bright colours OK for exotic brakes not single piston calipers with heavy/crude castings
My views only

last time you painted the calipers you sold the car the next week........
I still reckon the idea is a good one, how about getting some black 2 pack epoxy (From BCS) and mixing up something close to a deep blood red, be a lot less shouty but still adding a bit of contrast to the silver and blue.
Stu.

I just think they're a little too bright, I painted mine Imola Red with black clips and quite like them

Coloured calipers are too boy racerish for me. I prefer black.
But it's what you like that counts, if you stand back and get that gut feeling that has you posting for others' opinions to ease the pain I'd say you're not happy with the finish.

I nearly did the same thing until someone pointed out that I'd be detracting from the alloys (which are the real show piece). Ended up doing them dark grey. They look okay close up but you can't see them from a distance.
