I do think the new alloys look superb - not always keen on aftermarket wheels but they really do suit the imola M - very nice choice indeed!
You're becoming a bit of a wizard at maximising the look and finish of Zeds - impressive!

Pretty sure the CSL uses 265 but 255 is OK on a 9.5J.

The M3 CS rear wheels are 9.5j with a standard 255 35 19 rear ( fronts 8j with 225 40 19 ) so only difference with the CSL ones is the offset & the narrower front .
There is no issue fitting a 255 35 tyre to a 9.5j at all & as my pics show there is no stretch

No specific reason why the rear can't be 255 35 though & especially so with a car where you ride over the back wheel

No certainly not...
Just saying the staggered CSL sizes are as above, with the CS running a narrower front wheel, the rear tyre width was dropped to compensate.

Indeed but even running 235 35 fronts on 8.5j a rear 255 35 (9.5j) is barely any difference in rolling diameter from a 265 30 so has little negative effect just saying

I also said originally that it's not an issue, just pulled you up on your facts as CSL is 265.

Are we chasing our tails here ive never stated CSLs run 255 35 rubber I did say that i fitted 255 35 to "wheels" that are the same numbers as CSLs as in widths /offsets

Nah , save that for the "///M Market Watch" thread We're just having a healthy wheel/tyre debate
You can play around with tyres up & down in sizes , in reality there is no definitive right or wrong even if the set up was OEM BMW , Merc , Audi or whoever .
Many times it increases comfort & makes the speedo more accurate . The E46 M3 CS set up is a strange one though as i can't recall any other BMW wheelset that has a 8j front with 9,5j rear The stagger is usually only 1j different as in 8j + 9j , 8.5j + 9.5j , 9j + 10j ? Experimental or just quirky

Just bought the popcorn
A healthy debate is always good buddy as gives different ideas
Some on here not this post get annoying and pointless
I run oem csl 235 265 and looking at 275 for wider rear
But using 5mm spacers so will look to see if will fit now with spacers due to calipers?!??!?!?
