Broken spring

Post by Das882 » Fri Feb 24, 2017 6:32 pm

Looks like I will be lowering my MC sooner than planned!!! ...whilst removing the rear disc for replacement I found that the nearside spring was broken. Judging by the rust on the break it's been broken for a while, I was oblivious as the car looked to be sitting level . I'm looking at fitting Eibach's part no. E10-20-010-04-22 these apparently lower the car by 20mm at the front and 10mm at the rear as I don't want the car to sit too low as the roads are pretty poor around here.

Was thinking of getting those springs myself, apparently give a better ride quality too.

Broken spring

I had the same happen to me late last year. Replaced suspension with blistein b12 kit which is basically b6 shocks with eibach springs, apparently the shocks were designed to work with the spring. The car sits perfectly now, and handling is pretty awesome.

I will be running 19" reps with 235x35 front, 38 offset and 265x30 27 offset on the rear.......has anyone had issues with this setup?
