Oil service advice

Post by Muckinonthesofa » Mon Feb 20, 2017 9:38 am

I'm planning a interim oil/filter change. I'm not sure what filter to get, is this one okay? ;

Any advice appreciated :thumbsup:

To save any anxiety I'd just buy a bmw oil filter, they aren't very expensive :wink:

I have a Bosch filter in mine, product code 501110337 on Euro car parts.
Don't forget to replace the sump plug washer unless you want to do the whole thing twice :thumbsup:

Thank you.

Ecp's website says the Bosch filter (501110337) doesn't fit the Z4M? :?

Sorry, didn't realise you had the M. I put the details for an M in and got product code 501110077 for a Bosch one.

If your unsure I'd go to BMW parts and get one from them, but If you put your reg no into Ecp you shouldn't have any problems with fitment :)

I just bought 6 litres of Castrol oil from ECP last night with 30% discount. Grand total of £51. Bit cheaper than the £113 BMW were going to charge just for the oil.

For anyone who is thinking of ordering from ECP, the voucher code VOUCHERBOX30 is currently valid. :thumbsup:

The OEM BMW filter is a Mahle one iirc. Would definitely stick with OEM.
