The ARC-8's with the same width\offset would save 17.78kg!! :o :o

That's a significant weight saving, plus the fact it's unsprung weight too!

Please post more pictures once you get the centre caps in this weekend
I will do as soon as there on, those weight savings are huge ,17.7kg is a significant reduction in weight when it comes to performance, and according to the unsprung weight calculation that would be a saving of around 234lbs inside the car, that's like losing an extra passenger!!!
centre caps on :)

having spent all my time on 18s now instead of just on a smooth track I'm really enjoying the transition from 19" too.... my track biased suspension is even feeling more comfortable with that thicker sidewall. i will never put a 19" wheel on this car again. EVER. For purely looks however, 19s can really be beaten.

Agreed, ill never go back again either, the cars overall performance is so much better and cant fault the way it looks also. I think with high performance cars theirs reasons why the manufacturers used the specs they did etc. although I'm not knocking anybody for customising their cars...to each his own.

Looks great!

I recently made a similar call by removing my BBS CH P-Zero Square set-up and going back to the stockers ... this time in Graphite Metallic with matte clear and stock size Conti tires. I added 15mm front and 12mm rear H&R Spacers to fatten it up a bit!

PS: yesterday my Z4M-R met its brother from a different ....!

z4mroadster, your experience with the 18 vs 19 inch is pretty much what many other ///M owners who have driven both have experienced. I have been tempted a few times over the years to move to 19's but after driving an ///M once with 19's I gave the idea up. Besides the issues you raised I was concerned about potholes which are numerous in Pennsylvania and I have already broken one spring on them and damage a wheel.
