engine bay video.....

Post by Beedub » Sun Dec 10, 2017 11:33 pm

guys i never did finish this video clip in summer, i was hoping to add so much more but i really was too well at the time of filming this and had pneumonia ( SP) so ive cut it all down as i at least wanted to post this.....

ive got some other bits to finish up and ill do the driving overview, and general mod rundown, ive got to chop quite abit as most of it is waffle..... some of its really cool and some really cool flaming exhaust shots at night during a late evening run. Part 2 coming soon.

This is my first attempt and i plan to do alot more content with this car and some others come spring, youtube took all the music off the clip too :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Still learning, here what ive come up with so far from the few engine bay bits and idle bits ( cold character)

MY nikon has the most annoying focus noise. once again this was a first go from me and im aware its pretty s**t.... and ive missed loads of details , half the footage was a waste as i left the car running and all you could hear was supercharger whine/rattle and not me talking

If anyone wants any further info please feel free to ask :-) Part 2 coming soon which is 90% from the drivers seat and out side shots of the car...

Really interesting I am planning to supercharge mine in about 2 yrs time. I need to get the suspension brakes and big end shells done first. Interesting you don't recommend the 455 kit was it due to heat problems? I was thinking this would be enough for me. I will look out for futher updates thanks for taking the time to make this video.

You need to use DRM free music or it will be muted due to copywrite. You also need to use either a dedicated video mic that goes on top like a rhode video pro or get a lav mic to put on your person and put one track over the other and blend. You have a bit more control over volume that way.

With a dedicated mic you wont hear the camera autofocusing. All DSLR autofocus is pretty awful unless its Canon with its Dual pixel focus and a STM lens. People like Hoovie just use Iphones and added a lav mic works pretty well. They work really well for vlog style videos and have good autofocus. DSLRs are difficult to use as a single film maker unless you use a tripod and a slider, or set up a tripod to talk infront of.

Will have a watch when i get home. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of the car.

Hi the 455 or 450 as it was back a few years ago is a great kit i really didn't expand to much, but for sustained hard use, its not the one, if im totally honest i think that power balance at 455 was better... It did heat soak after prolonged use and would feel alot slower, was a very solid and stable kit and a great entry.

With the stage 2 is where you get all the additional oil and charge cooling and it feels very different!

Can you buy the extra cooling with the 455 kit as I would rather not go too high with the boost the 5psi seems about right to me.

No.... would probably be overkill anyway for 5psi..... i must stress i was actually tracking the car when the issues came to light, normal road use and back road blasting didn't bring up these issue.
