Think one of Matts strut braces would finish that engine bay mate. Mines sold but I reckon you can get him out of retirement

No sorn unless weather that bad and tax runs out

Salt stops me like a slug using my cars
Unless rained for atleast 3 days after
But something about roof down on a fresh day with winter sun on your face ^^,

But let's be honest haha that's not often and the price saved by sorning doesnt factor into my use
But my mazzer stays off road till salts drop also
Though currently I've got the entire back end off it for a sexy refurb ^^ ,

Cheap winter runabout for the salty days and enjoy the Z4M when not. The saving of £40 odd a month is meaningless for me compared to just driving the car when I want to. All in my opinion, do what you want with your car tax of course.

Fail safes?
Lol, we both know the OE are rubbish, flimsy and most aftermarket braces are not offered as a 3 piece kit.
The companies that do don’t cater for the bonnet alarm sensor (fail safe you refer to)?
Mats (machine monkey) brace interferes with nothing.

the bonnet alarm isn't a fail safe ..... loooool.
yes fail safes.... like having sections notched so in the event of accident it doesn't transfer loads to the other side..... sometimes it's more than just cosmetics , I believe the stock pieces are best here and offer excellent clearance and look just fine to my eyes. Not everything that shines is gold

Considering SORN this year for the first time. It's not being used much at all at the moment. May have a decision to make in the spring.

You’re not thinking of jumping ship?
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Nothing definite but wondering if I should or not.

I use mine all year round but in winter it only comes out on sunny days when the roads are dry.

I need to buy a new trickle charger to keep the battery topped up while the Zed is in dry storage. (I gave away my last one 10+ years ago and can't remember what it was).
Please can I ask for recommendations for a decent charger that is reliable and is certain to shut off when the bat is full? nothing fancy needed, just safe and reliable. Thanks

I think most of us use the CTEK. Costs about £70 and is excellent.
