No. 240 RHD Roadster complete rebuild

Post by dannytheduck1985 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 9:53 pm

After going through 2 years of blood sweat and lots of tears to put my car back on the road.........I’ve decided to do it all over again.
People may remember the problems and constant issues cropping up, from parts going missing to the car being stolen. All these issues along with s**t workmanship (proper money paid for work) led to the cars finish being pretty s**t. Well it was alright but not perfect, not my monies worth. At the time I wasn’t in a financial position to shell out again.
When I finally got the car roadworthy, I broke something every week. My driving didn’t help the situ  TC off, sport on, dan in Ari Vatenen mode

Now in a better position I’ve decided whilst the car is in for engine rebuild, to strip it down and start again. Finally found the right people.
I know it’s mental and I could get something better but nothing else will be the same as my M.

Fun starts next week mate. With a proper company involved and the main man very particular, this won’t take long at all.
There are thoughts of a V10 conversion :driving: just got to weigh up my mentality first

Surrounding my village are some very fast roads and some huge islands. I road in particular is 3 lanes and spans 27 Miles, is more or less empty of a weekend.
I’ll leave it there.

Weighing up my options now. Replacement S54 engine.... I’ll will destroy it in weeks. It’s either have a full forged motor built or whilst it’s at BM conversions UK, let them work their magic with a huge lump.

You’ll kill yourself with a V10 under its cap Danny lad. All steel bottom end would be best no?

This is the start of a brilliant thread. You'll spend more on this than buying a GT3....so 100% kudos to you sir!

Looking forward to seeing the journey of this one.
