Stromungs fitted today

Post by DPG » Wed Feb 10, 2016 2:36 pm

Got my Stromungs fitted today. Very impressed after a short test drive.

Looking forward to a blast at the weekend to see how it sounds coupled with the Eventuri.

If it's nice weather I'll try get some GoPro videos.

They do look very good, aside from the perforations actually quite stock? Videos with sound inside the car please :)

Great stuff - I will be really interested to know your thoughts on the Exhaust & Eventuri Vs. just the Eventuri!

Is that Des I can see stood under your car?

I do miss my stromungs sometimes..enjoy! Yours look like mine did - the passenger side tips seem to protrude slightly more than the drivers side!

DITTO ! 8)

I fitted my Eventuri a few weeks ago, and Stromung last week ! :D

I suspect my MPG has become a lot worse since, due to greater temptation to step on the loud pedal now it sounds so nice.

On some comments & previous threads about Exhaust & Eventuri Vs. just the Eventuri, I made a point of fitting my Eventuri first so I could hear it, before Exhaust on too...

I was very happy with the improved sound from the Eventuri, but have to admit that now with Exhaust too it is difficult to identify the Eventuri over the sound of the exhaust, but I just had to have both. I suppose you could maybe argue that the Eventuri should deliver a small performance benefit, around 10bhp based on threads I've read, & smoother power-delivery, where the aftermarket backboxes will only improve sound, with little/no performance I guess.

And yes also - passenger side tips protrude slightly more than the drivers side...

Yeah they are just a little bit louder than stock with a few pops and bangs thrown in.

They weigh nothing in comparison with stock. Couldn't believe the difference

Slight drone at 2k but it's not that bad

I can still hear my Eventuri between 3 and 6k but I've butchered the firewall grommet so not sure if that makes a difference.

Yeah I took it to Des and ended up staying all morning talking about racing.

Shame you never got to hear the Eventuri on its own.

Thanks Andy, no more mods to her now. :D just make sure all the oils are changed later this year and hopefully that's it.

The next stage (Shrick cams, CSL air box or blower) is big money so I don't think I'll bother with anything else.

Must be the season.. looking at my tracking number, mine are now in the UK but are currently being held awaiting custom payment. I have not received any contact to do that. How did they contact you? I was assuming they would deliver them and then allow me to pay afterwards..
