Cheap BMW by BBS Styling 108 fully refurbished, staggered Z4 alloys.

Post by MrMarton » Mon Jan 09, 2017 10:30 pm

Hey everyone!

Here I have for sale a completly refurbed, I mean fully! (Nothing like you can get from a refurb van within couple of hours)
The wheels been disassembled, sandblasted, the screws were replaced where it was needed, then sprayed to the original BMW wheel colour.
The Lips been mirror polished to high standard ( I couldn't even make proper photos as they are so shiny) .
So these wheels are like brand new with a better look. They are straight (been checked in tyre shop), no weldings, no buckles, nothing at all.
They are immaculate! Ready to put tyres on and make your car a new look!
Fronts are 8x18 et47
Rears are 8.5x18 et50.
Perfect fitmen to E36, E46, E87, E85 etc.

Price, what I would like is £400 Now
I am in NW London, but happy to help with the delivery.

If you are interested, please contact me on [email protected]

Thank you

Just need to highlight if they have been painted or powdercoated as it does say both in description

nice!
I heard corrosion can creep back in to these once refurbed. did you do anything to prevent/address this?

Hi, wheels look great but they do come up for sale on here a lot, they are a very common wheel, especially on z4s, and there are many here who are real wheel experts, so I think you'll really struggle to get anywhere near that price, for example I got a fully refurbed split, powdercoated and polished lip set of these for £400 from a wheel refurb company in London, that included fitment of tyres and fitting on my car.

You will be lucky to get 450, if you do some research on what these usually go for you'll see what I mean.
Hope this info helps as its not meant to rubbish your for sale ad.

Corrosion can happen again on these, as it can happen on any of them.
When you refurb a wheel and if they don't get sandblasted, the rust will be covered only.
On these all the corrosion was removed with an acid bath+ sandblast.

No, is not.
The fact is, when I bought this set, there was only 1-2 on ebay. For horrible money. Unfortunately now became very popular and every 2nd advert is this kind... I`m a bit late :(

The corrosion problem with the 108's comes from the areas surrounding the bolts. The problem is, that once you tighten them, whatever coating is on them WILL be damaged by the bolt head, then water gets under the coating and they bubble. Unfortunately, it's one of the traits of split rim wheels.

What are they using in the factory to avoid this?
Just because when I got this set, was in original condition and I saw the signs of this. Lots of bolts got broke when we tried to take them out.

I've been looking for a set but I'll wait and see how much you drop your price, they do look good but not £600 good. eBay sets go for 500-650 ish with tyres.
