First a massive thanks to ''Jingle'' for his help with this and supplying a scoop as a guide.

I will be making a quantity of these from lightweight aluminium. I will be laser cutting the shape, bending the angles and they will then be sent off to be welded and powder-coated to look like this:

Dont want to sound thick but has there been discussion about this on another thread. What are the benefits, how hard to fit and is there a downside etc.
Thanks

No worries, this is the description from a website for the scoop:

''Convert your stock intake system to a ram air type with our ram air scoop. The ram air system captures incoming air from behind the front kidney grill and forces it into the factory intake ducting. The pressured cold air increases engine performance and efficiency. Expect 8-12whp at 70mph winds. Note: Also fits non-M models.''

I'm not sure if there are any downsides, I haven't heard of any.

Installation is straight forward and takes 10-15 minutes max.

This has been discussed on the forum somewhere, apparently it doesn't. Will have a search and see if I can find the thread. From memory it was PVR that said it doesn't force the water up but I could be wrong.

Sorry for the Spanish inquisition but do you know when these would be finished? I keep to a tight budget and about to spend £800 on the zed for DMF, clutch and mtech disks etc and can't afford extra costs at the mo. I would be interested though. :)

No worries, I'm sure others would've asked the same. Should be ready in a week or two at the most. I can always hold onto one for a few weeks extra if it helps?

If you're willing to ship to the netherlands, I'm interested too (black).

As I recall you're in the sheetmetal cutting business. It might be interesting for you to also make M fang skidplates from aluminium/stainless.
Put it all on ebay too as shipping from the UK to the rest of europe is probably much cheaper than the usual US shipping rates so that puts you to an advantage.
