On the off chance someone has one of these laying around :D

Just the bit of plastic that attaches the filler cap to the body.

New one is about £20 (whole cap) rather not pay that for a little bit of plastic, if I can help it.

Cheers!

Don't think you can just attach the plastic to the cap as far as I am aware, even if you managed to find one.

Oh thanks, might be £20 quid then!. I've had the car for a year, before I saw a photo of another zed, and realised the filler cap should be attached

mines broken also, as are many others on here. i made a thread about it. bloody rip off merchants they are :(

my old e46 had a broken elastic band thing as well - maybe when it gets a bit of fuel on it it degrades?

Can't say it ever really bothered me, its hardly a faff to just clip it into the green hole or just put it on top of the petrol pump when filling up.

There's better things to spend 20 quid on, IMO.

Mines gone as well but it's not a sleep disturber, surely someone has a mod' or upgrade? (high performance silicone coated titanium weave cable or something  )

Mine is still in tact but could break at any time like the one on my Series 1 has. Doesn't bother me one jot, waste of time really. Can't see the point when all you do is to place it in the little green hole when you're filling up and you're hardly likely to leave the cap dangling down the side of the paintwork are you?

Makes you wonder if that's what they have been doing. I've never had one break and always use the holder.

Recall reading on this forum that there were quite a few folk who didn't realise what the purpose of the little green hole was. :D
