Thanks, I think it is ok to use the Individual badges over the M badges
I will get my newly painted brakes back from the paintshop tomorrow as well. Looking forward to get them fitted to the Z

I love the attention to detail, but enough with the aesthetics - they can be sorted after the Supercharger - get on it!!

Haha... Yes, that is thrue... Will take the Z4 to ESS HQ tomorrow. They want to keep the car for a week. A lot of small adjustments have to be done to make the Z4 N52 Kit. I have also asked for Stage 1+ that gives a little more boost and higher fuel pressureEd Doe wrote:I love the attention to detail, but enough with the aesthetics - they can be sorted after the Supercharger - get on it!!

Excellent news - I'm watching progress closely! What power/torque figures are they expecting? Does the kit utilise stock engine management or aftermarket?
Those brakes look mega

I think they expect 280+ hp at the wheels. Not sure about the torque. You will se before and after dyno for my car. They have their own software based on stock parameters.Ed Doe wrote:Excellent news - I'm watching progress closely! What power/torque figures are they expecting? Re: My 2006 Z4 3.0Si Coupe Grigio Telesto. Very soon Supercharged
Before I drove the Z to ESS, I got the time to mount my new brakes
This is the parts used:
Front:
-Original Bmw Performance calipers
-Original Bmw M3 CSL rotors
-Original Bmw Performance brake pads
-Special made brackets for caliper made to fit Z4
Rear:
-Original Bmw 3.0Si calipers
-PF drilled rotors
-Original brake pads
-Mercedes E-Class caliper covers
Those front performance brake calipers was not a great match to my new paintjob, so I decided to paint them Lamborghini Rosso Mars 3 stage red.
As I kept the original rear caliper, I had to do those as well.
Rear brakes:
Those rear brakes was not that good
To get a nice finish on the rear caliper, I grinded them smooth, a work from hell
After the pro paint job
To give those rear calipers a nicer look, I modificated a Mercedes E-class brake cover
After fresh paint, the logo was oversprayed and sealed with some clear coat.
New rotors mounted
Cover mounted to caliper and spring
