A change of wheels to 19s
Decided it was time to ditch the runflats and have a complete change from the 108s so I decided to purchase a set of BBS LM reps with anthracite centres from Jeff (aka ace) so thanks to him for starters.
For the purists amongst you, they are of course reps and I am not suggesting they are anything else. The BBS centre caps came with them, wasn't sure about the colour at first but they have really grown on me but no doubt everyone will have their own opinions which I would love to hear.
For the techy wheel freaks, like myself, they are 19'' wheels, 8.5'' fronts and 9.5'' rears with an offset of 35 all round. If you are looking at 19s with those offsets I can say they are a perfect fit (but I knew that because I studied gookas wheels at Gaydon which had the same offsets) The car is not lowered so there are no rubbing issues.
I fiited Avon ZZ3 tyres (thanks z4phill for advice) 225/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rears. I know alot of members fitted 235s to the front but for what it's worth I chose 225s because it keeps the rolling radius between front and rear wheels to within 4mm.
The ride quality after the runflats is nothing short of fantastic. Far less banging and tramlining.
Anyway here is a couple of pics.

Dav, they look the Biz’ even better if you could change the caps?
35/19" was brave for the cart tracks that serve as our roads here in Somerset but glad it's riding well, getting rid of the RFTs obviously did the trick.

Re: A change of wheels to 19s
They do look the nuts. i am in a dilemma my self with wheels, i so need to get rid of the 17' 103 on my Z and wont to go for 19
but i have been told that they will kill the ride and that 18' would be better,(thats by non Z4 driver's ) is this true with the Zz's.
I have not long sold my Cooper S slightly modded at 230bhp which i was running 17' with Toyo T1R and KW spring (30mm lowering) and the ride was as hard as nails and would prefer not to have the ride as hard as that but the 19' on the Z do fill the arches very nicely, any comments reffering to this subject would be most welcome

Trust your instinct and experience, 19"s look great but may spoil the drive, I had them on a Merc SLK and they were too much - maybe someone will give you a ride on their 19's before you spend?

Looking good Dave Tyre choice is spot on, and keep the BBS badges. I know they are not genuine, but they look so much better than BMW badges! Well each to there own, but i made actual 70.6 BBS badges fit my old reps

Re: A change of wheels to 19s
Sorry i dont like them. The lip is to bling and the center caps clash badly with the rest of the car. But if you like them then thats all that matters.
