What I forgot to pack.

Post by ronk » Mon Jul 31, 2017 6:12 pm

Set off on the trip to Germany via the DFDS ferry from the Tyne - going on board I've realised I've forgotten my walking stick - I'm wobbly without it

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Bung some one a few Euros to fill her up each day. Re route via drive threw burger joints and just stay in the Zed until you get back. Problem sorted. :driving:

I also know a good chiropractor, for when you get back.

Not to worry, you should be able to pick one up when you get there, I hear they grow on trees :tumbleweed:

It will need more than a chiropractor to sort me out but I'll manage when I get another stick - it was a good start that got worse when the sat nav locked up !! Can't expect them to last forever, it is 10 months old now

Not a great start ronk, but you should be able to find a stick somewhere.

Maybe the Sat Nav will recover (but you could always go old school and buy a map), and hopefully you will recover too after evacuation!

I hope it all comes good.

We survived!

Borrowed a stick
Used an old map from 1996 and a phone app
No more chucking up etc

Ferry ride home tomorrow - drop the car into the dealer and see if I can beat the bills home.

That sounds like a bad start to the hols but think on the bright side Ron, you must have lost a few pounds with all that fluid coming out of both ends. Have a good one

Hope that's the last of your bad luck.

If you have the time then your way better off without the satnav. Some of my best trips have been made by getting lost and finding some amazing places whilst trying to find the right direction!
