On a lighter note,I think you should be looking for a light fingerd neighbourTitanTim wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2017 8:07 pm Comes to something when you have 5 solar lights worth 2 quid each nicked off the front garden, I mean WTF and worthless. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac and unfortunately my Cam didn't pick anything up as out of range. If I caught the thief I'd slice their fingers off

Not much shocks me these days in the world of 24/7 media but that genuinely did, particularly if it happened on your driveway. That's a worry not just for 135/140i/M3/M4 etc owners but the owner of any 1/2/3/4 series. Coming to think of it any BMW built in the last 4 years since the newer design of M Sport wheel starting appearing. Sat Nav wise was it the standard system or the full beans one?

I've wondered about the multimedia systems in these cars, I've got the professional nav which was a 900 quid option and really it's like having sweeties on display and probably quite sort after if they can be easily ripped out the car. I don't think the tablet type design is very good at resisting theft. The nav screen in my Hyundai is built into the dash so you would need to remove the whole dash to get it out. Mercedes are the same with the ipad type tablets sitting on top of the dash. Far too easy to remove.

it's still going to cost you as well as everyone else. this is why premiums are increasing year on year now.
you will now have a claim on your record and lose your no claims bonus. so i fully expect you to pay £2K in increased premiums over the next 5 years.
pity you don't have cctv. i'm now thinking of getting some. next payday i'll be looking into some hiikvision kit and a NVR.
i hope they are caught and the book thrown at them. crime is on the up in austerity britain. with Brexit it will only get worse.

CCTV is OK, but most of these scummy barstewards don't give a fly F about it as they wear hoodies and face coverings. If they were to get caught, they would have a slap on the wrist and given 100 hrs community service, which they wouldn't do because it's their human right, not to have to drag their sorry asses out of bed.
Your better off ripping the fancy gear out of your car now, before weasel and his mates turn up

Was full pro nav, current estimate is just over 10k but BMW need more time as there is so much damage to the wiring looms. Trying to get BMW to admit there is a security issue but thats not going to happen.

I should be pleased I only had some solar lights nicked but then theft is theft whatever it is.
Contemplating getting another Ring cam and hiding it on the front garden, current one only covers from the garage door to house door.

Drunks on the way home from the pub maybe, or your neighbor may be jealous of such 'high end' garden accessories and he's nabbed 'em ,ground them into tiny pieces and put them down the drain.
I remember many moons ago, I was a young punk on the way home with my pals from a night out. I was as pissed as a fart. I saw this plastic garden gnome about two gardens down. I set my sights on it. I sprinted flat out across the two gardens and gave the gnome my best toe punt to launch it into next week...It was concrete...Broke all my toes
