I think the DJI has a GPS bit that makes it always come back to the starting point, which is a great feature.
Not read that it could follow you though.

I've only seen them being flown by someone else.
There was one make that followed a beacon of sorts, for skiing, driving etc, but not sure if it was concept or reality. Imagine some huge legal implications behind an auto piloted drone at a consumer level

Am sure you are aware, but...."you must avoid flying it within 150 metres of a congested area and 50 metres of a person, vessel, vehicle or structure not under the control of the pilot". I'm not sure the main roads count at non congested areas Your video also provided a beautiful mug shot, although not quite the full number plate for for follow up
Probably a challenging one to get out of if plod came by and you are standing next to a main road with a controller in your hands lol.

My first parrot was iPad controlled & I launched it in the lounge just for a play.
All went well until it came towards me and got a bit close....natural thing was to lean back, which tilted to iPad & accelerated the drone into me flat out. Lacerations to my hands as I tried to grab the demented thing....can laugh now, but **** that hurt a lot....was amazed the damage the rotors could do!

Now that's a proper gadget. We had one surveying the roof of our factory this morning. Much cheaper than scaffolding.
Not sure flying it over a busy road is such a bright idea though.

Looks amazing quality and very easy to fly if that was your first time. Really stable looking even though the trees were moving in the wind.
Your other video at night though could be looked at being a bit creepy, going up and down your street looking in windows

The picture quality looks good bearing in mind the niggles you mentioned. The neighbours are going to love you if you fly it from your garden.

One particular neighbour - or has she left yet?
Just a question - the moving from left to right is a bit quick, can that be slowed down as well?

Just been playing with the active track and follow me modes. I'm impressed! It can track virtually anything without needing any sort of tag or transponder!
