I know i am
Its the first time ive done it & whilst i did have the E86 for the winter months i can't deny my thoughts were on hitting spring & getting the roadster on the tarmac
I'm looking forward to getting re-connected with the S54 on Saturday ( rain or shine ) with a drive through Ribble into the Yorks Dales & a return via the Bowland Fells
So anyone else got Z plans for next weekend ?

Going a bit off topic. I'm busting to get off SORN, but not the Z4.
The E30 Convertible is calling me. The tape deck is now fixed. The lights have dried out over winter. It is still clean and shiny from the last wash/wax last year and being covered in the garage. The battery has been on the CTEK. Just need to let the extra air out of the tyres, pay the roadtax and fire up the M20B25.

The Z is special all year round so I wouldn't have it off the road just to save on tax. Also those cold blue sky days in winter are fantastic. Personally I really enjoy the S54 in the rain

Haha, my sister isn't bursting for that date - it's her birthday! (And she is older than me).
Much as 2 x Band K RFL doesn't make much sense (but man-maths puts that right) I just couldn't walk past my Z4 for more than a couple of weeks without using it.
But then I have got a proper roof on mine. Bring on the biggest debate after whippy/stubby.

It is one or two days in advance that will work, I did that last time.
Both the Porker and Golf will be coming off SORN but I am not in the country then to enjoy it on the first day.
Now Mr Wilks, how did you take that picture of your M in the sig

You can only buy tax in whole month incremants. So if you tax for use on 31 march you have to pay the whole of March.Grumpyowl wrote:I tried to take mine off sorn this weekend wanted to tax it from April 1st. I'm now looking forward to April after being off the road for 5 months, don't see the point in paying the licence when I'm not using it esp at £500+ a year.

You can MOT beforehand if you wish - as long as the car's insured, you're allowed to drive to/from a pre-booked MOT without a current MOT or Road TaxStu Boy wrote:Must book that MOT for this Sat in the morning

Mine doesn't get SORN'd, but it's booked in for new front discs, brake fluid change and an MOT on Thursday... and rugby season is nearly done, so can't wait to get back to some hooning. This is the last season I'll be coaching on Sundays too, so my hooning window is soon to be extended to... well all year now
