Mid 90's office gadget madness. (Nostalgic old fool)

Having a clear-out of the printer room in the house today and came accross some items from my old UK office when I set up in business in the mid-90's and subsequently brought over to Holland with me in 2001.

It's always the way - you buy something expensive, use it for a bit, get bored with it or it gets superceded by a newer model and you either chuck it, sell it, or stash it away with the idea that it still has a 'perceived value' due to the initial investment cost. Can you guess which category I fall into?

So, the mystery boxes at the bottom of all the other boxes of forgotten crap, the first of which is containing my very first laptop...and it still works! Unbelievable. No antivirus or fapware on it tho

Onto the next box and a pleasant surprise - my trusty old Olycom HCC2000 digital fax machine. Yes you read that right - digital fax machine.
At the time I thought it was the dogs' but it was actually all bollocks really - you had to send a paper fax by scanning it using a separate scanner, linked by serial cable to the Olycom and you received faxes on the Olycom, stored on floppy disks, to be viewed on a separate laptop/computer. What a faff, but it was just before email really took off, so I supposed it served it's purpose for a short while. Still works too and was interesting playing back some old answerphone messages from a couple of girls I was shall we say, consorting with at the time  "Chris, can you call me back please?"..... "Chris, can you call me back please?"......"Chris, can you call me back please, I've got the results back from the clinic"

And the piece de resistance - my lovely old (non-working) Tizio lamp which I promised I would buy one day after seeing them in almost every episode of Space1999. I thought it made me look dead professional like

I've got one of those lamps. Think you might be surprised what you get for it.

doesnt work anymore tho sadly otherwise it'd still be sat on me desk - the tranny's fried and a replacement would be an expensive faff. only good as spares sadly.
a beautiful thing tho and a design classic.
