"Protect your bubble"

Post by Ducklakeview » Mon Jan 09, 2017 6:51 pm

Does anyone use these guys, or have experience of them?

I ask, as with the two recent upgrades to phones on my account, I'm now paying £50 a month to EE just for the insurance on them, and the excess has steadily risen to the £100 it now is per claim.

Went online to the bubble site for a quote, and covering the five handsets for theft, damage etc PLUS four 10" galaxy notes, comes to £32.99 a month..

Would rather stay with EE as on the rare occasions we have claimed, I've had a new phone within 24hrs, but it's getting expensive and the excess is taking the pee now..

Any recommendations?

Mike

Yes they are, BUT the excess for personal possessions outside the home is £150. Plus doubt want to lose NCB if a phone is lost/damaged/stolen.

Will double check my credit cards though.

My excess is £75 on my CC, two claims per year limit, no NCB as it is not an insurance as such with a premium as it is all wrapped with the overall account charge. It has the breakdown service and boiler breakdown etc in there as well.

I have a natwest reward current account and a reward credit card. Just phoned them and under the account, it only covers one mobile, same with the credit card, both with £75 excess/two claims a year limit.

What card are you using?

I've used them for around the past 2 years for my HTC phone as I tend to buy a phone unlocked rather than tied to a network so can be pricey as an initial purchase. I've never had to claim though which is what you really need to know and how they fare. I haven't renewed this time with them as my phone probably isn't worth that much now but they seem to get a little shirty when I didn't renew sending me 3 letters that my world would collapse if I didn't renew.
