Ok,

So looking at a GoPro, either a Hero 5 Session, or a Hero 5, possibly 6 - Who has one and what are the thoughts on the Session compared to the 5/6?

Have had the cheap ones, and IMO they just don't compare...

I cant compare mine against a proper go pro, ive only ever used mine for fishing its get put on the end of
big bankstick and shoved under the water under the trees the see where all the bigger carp are hiding,
didnt really want to lay out for a proper go pro for it to fall off the end of the bankstick and sink to the
bottom of the lake never to be seen again and knowing what im like with gadgets and phones when im
fishing its only a matter of time

Lens is too wide angle for 'happy snaps'.

I seriously considered in purchasing one but had to way up the value for money.

I opted for using my iPhone as an alternative - as it was more cost effective for my needs.
