The membership has changed, but the helpfulness and generosity of everyone has not - there’s always one or two who go too far like Pastry.
Long may this place survive as a bastion of friendliness in the sea of fuckwittery that is the Internet

I would nominate Carol and Ruby for the first category, sadly no longer seem to be with us :x
I'm still here! And thanks for the nice comment  After selling my M a couple of years back I haven't got an awful lot to contribute to the car chat anymore. However I'm always up for a good holiday thread!

How was Cannes? Bet it seems like ages ago - memories of our Skye holiday have kept us going into the dark winter months, hoping to go back there again next year :)

Amazing! We got a good deal on flights and a plush hotel on the main strip with a private beach. The weather in Oct was still perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Just what we needed. The place on the whole is extremely expensive though for eating and drinking as you would imagine. However we loved the vibe and will go back. I did manage to catch some of your Scotland trip updates and very glad the weather improved for you. Your photos inspired me to get serious about planning a similar trip next year.

You're holiday sounds idillic. I hope you get to Scotland next year - I know I moaned about the weather, but it didn't spoil the experience :)

I believe the correct term is a “sausage fest”.

Personally I think this is a great and generally positive forum, there are a few members that aren’t for me, I just don’t comment on their threads, I’ve met some truly great members and lifelong friends here, you can choose what you say and whom you connect with, simples
