You can MOT beforehand if you wish - as long as the car's insured, you're allowed to drive to/from a pre-booked MOT without a current MOT or Road Tax
I haven't the time off this week Perry so it'll have to be a weekend job :x

Both the Porker and Golf will be coming off SORN but I am not in the country then to enjoy it on the first day.

Now Mr Wilks, how did you take that picture of your M in the sig :poke:
There is no longer an advance purchase. If you want it from 1st April you can only purchase on 1st April :x

You can only buy tax in whole month incremants. So if you tax for use on 31 march you have to pay the whole of March.
No, you can buy your tax on the 31st but get it to start from the 1st April.

From the last two days of the month you get a choice for the current or next month.
What I meant was you have to pay a whole calendar month. So if you want to drive your car legally on 31 March, you have to pay for 01 to 31 March even though you won't use it all. So I won't tax mine until 01 April (cos I'm a skinflint), although you are right I can actually do the transaction a couple of days before.
