They reckon to beat other quotes so I rang around to get the best prices and then contacted them again and sure enough they gave a furthe £20 reduction. I'm really pleased with the tyres, a massive improvement on runflats.
Thats a cracking price - how did you manage to get that? Best i can find so far is £430 on blackcircles and thats only by ordering fronts and rears seperately so csn use the £10 off code twice!

Hi

Are there any Formula One Autocentres near you? There are three near where I live and I played them off against each other. In the end the Lincoln and Newark branches wouldn't play ball when they discovered I was playing one branch off against another when they are all part of the same company. I didn't tell them where I was getting the prices from. In the end when you accept a price then you have to give them that information. It was at that point that Lincoln and Newark withdrew their offers. However, the manager at Grantham was willing to honour the lowest price so I went ahead and had the tyres fitted there.

Got one, but the online prices are same as blackcircles

I would give them a ring. What they said to me on the phone was. Give us the best price you have found and we will beat it. Worth a try.
Just checked my invoice to be sure I was giving you correct information. Definitely £366.
Good luck.

Goodyear Eagle F1's transformed my Zed. They are the v2 but when they need changing I will go with whatever F1 number they're on by then.

The Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas that I had on the fronts were aweful once they got to about 4mm of tread - they developed a magnetic attraction for everywhere I didn't want to go!

It's either Goodyear f1 or Michelin ps for me for the last decade or so now. As others have said it's a bit of a minefield but tyres is an area where I think you really do get what you pay for. These two have served me well. Last time I had pirelli was on an 03 tt 13 years. They weren't that impressive and worn very quickly, I got 11k out of a set of 4 ( 4 wheel drive car) switched to Goodyear f1 for the next set and they were much better in every respect and as an added bonus I got 18k out of them. Tried Michelin ps for the next set as they were on offer at Costco at the time and thought they were up there with the Goodyear. Sold the car after 15k on these but stuck with these two tyres through their various versions ever since and never been disappointed. My personal experience, coupled to their consistently good showings in every group test I've ever read over the years has given me confidence to stick with them. Been tempted to spend a bit less at times but always came back to the fact that tyres and brakes aren't something to skimp on.

I've run F1s for years since the V tread design as they are so good in the wet.

Recently I've tried a PS4 and it's better, gives more grip and feels like it really digs into the road rather than floating across it. The 330 it's on still has F1 AS3 on the rear and the car instantly became a lot more tail happy which is confirmation that the PS4 has relatively more grip. Before you say it's down to being a new tyre, it's not as I've experienced the car with new F1s before and it was far more benign.

Interesting reading - Especially as I was about to nip round to Costco, and have 4 x PS4's fitted today.. Quoted £503.86 all in, that's £107.98 for the fronts, £143.98 for the rears, fully fitted and balanced, 225.40 & 255/35's.

Hmm, got me thinking now..

Rang f1 autocentre.. £440 fitted. Pretty much same as everywhere else but said they would beat any quote.

Just need to find someone cheaper to batter them down

Ring the Grantham branch. Don't tell them where you live and get a quote. Then try and use that at your local branch. It is worth being a bit cheeky. If it doesn't work you haven't lost anything.

Anyone thinking of new shoes, I ordered Eagle F1 3's for our zed (225/40 18 fronts, 255/35 18 rears) through asda tyres. With a 10% off online code came in at £403 inc fitting, which i thought was good.
