wheel shopping, in need of help!

Post by philbo909 » Sat Jun 10, 2017 6:51 pm

I've been pining after some replacement wheels for my z, which is currently running some mv2s that have seen better days. Rather than refurb, I'm thinking of splashing out on a fresh set of apex arc-8s.
looking at this site http://www.tegiwaeuro.com/index.php/whe ... 5x120.html and they seem a bit cheaper than http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/single_p ... zODA1.html However, I'm not entirely sure on what sizes are right for the car, I'm set on 18s because it's my daily and I'm not making the large wheel mistake again! usability is a must!
I'd like all four quite concave, but can anyone help me with the offsets and widths?
would 18x9.5 ET35 rear, 18x8.5 ET38 front fit? concove rear, flatter front?
still on SE suspension too if that affects anything!

here's a picture of the current black mv2 on black z. might go anthracite next though, mix it up a bit!

Use this link play around with the offsets until your happy. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator.

I just got these few weeks ago £700 with tyres 18" and offset front Et40 8J rear Et43 9J. Id go with a 19" though as well on your coupe it suit them better. That way you have nice bigger rims and still your 18" for back ups if you ever feel 19" is not right.

Thanks for the help! No 19s for me, I had some on an e46 and the ride was awful and many issues with punctures put me right off. 18 is perfect for a b Road bash, bit more rubber protection

Thanks, that's reassuring, just waiting on a quote now. What tyre size would be best on the front at 8.5? Guessing the 255/35 like stock rears would rub?
