I've agreed to take these wheels ( in principle) for £200. Good plan / bad plan ? Fire away folks ...

Bad plan , £150 if you really want them would be my offer due to refurb costs, odd tyres and centre caps

The tyres look OK in the pictures, the wheels look OK too, if no buckles or splits on the rims, I would say that's not a bad price.

Is that from a health & safety point or purely based on a fashion faux pas ? :P
Dodgy footwear aside the tyres look mismatched & not worthy of refitting costs so £200 for a set of 108s requiring refurb + costs to have tyres removed
At that money i can't see anything other than a expensive set of wheels for a potential boatload of problems
Hope its not spoiling a forum members sale but i wouldn't go over £150 for a set of 108s :(

thanks folks,

no forum sale up-ended as they are on gumtree :) . I've gone back to the seller and said I'm out unless the price drops. BTW, they originally wanted £225.

Saw these on gumtree earlier. Look to be all budget tyres fitted in the pics. Refurb & tyres and your into an expensive set of wheels there

Hi guys .
They look in pretty good condition.
I paid a little more than that for a set without tyres and needing a refurb .
After the refurb new tyres fitted and they look great , not the cheapest way to do it but I have a great set of 108,s with the tyre's I wanted , no cracks no chips and not buckled happy days .
 .

With decent tyres even a set needing a refurb. could be worth that sort of money but I'm struggling to see 2 tyres that match, even though they all seem to have quite a bit of tread left!

As far as the rims go, there is the typical corrosion around the bolts which isn't a cheap fix so with mis-matched tyres I'd want them cheaper than £200 - they aren't exactly rare at the end of the day.

Shame as I like 108s - just glad mine had been refurbed before I bought the car!

But if you like them and get a deal you are happy with OP then that is all that really matters.

to be fair to the seller it looks like two matched pairs, with plenty of rubber, but defo economy - i can make out that one set is infintiy ecomax, whaterver they are - the others I'm not sure about

All I can say is I sold a set that looked in better condition than those for £140 last year without tyres.

I know z4 pilot on here will more than Likely have a set of 108s available this weekend recently powder coated and in perfect condition for less than the cost of those plus a quality refurb
