Vredestein Ultrac Vortis 20,000 miles

Post by Geezah » Fri May 27, 2016 12:35 pm

Fitted a set of these just over 20,000 miles ago, ran the at the recommended pressures on the door jamb sticker.

The wear has been even all round and time to change the rears.

Fronts have 5mm all over and rears have 2mm. My driving style is 'to get there'!

They have been a great choice, performance has been spot on. I can't recommend them enough.

Some real world evidence for you all, HTH.

Another fan of Vreds here - I'm on vredestein ultrac sessanta
I bought a Zed in Nov 2014 with m sport alloys on Vred tyres and put 4.5k on it, then in June last year traded in for my current Zed and swapped the wheels and tyres onto the new car. I've covered a further 8.5k in the new Zed and it just passed the MOT with no advisories - tyres still have loads of tread!

Also on the Sessantas, love the pattern as well  . Only issue is they are getting like rocking horse at the moment - few stocks left and looks like they are now out of production in favour of the Vortis.

Vorti's will be out of favour soon aswell as their new replacement appears to be called 'Ultrac Satin'.

Plus a new energy efficient "urban" tyre the T Trac 2 http://www.vredestein.co.uk/car-tyres/s ... ac-2/info/
I think as tyre's & companies go there is very little to fault with Vredesteins on quality or price .
The Vortis for me are as close to MPSS you could get for 30% less spend

Fitted 4 Vorit's in April and then put 2K on them in 5 days straight away. Much better ride than the 452's that I had inherited with the wheels.

Should last me 4-5 year with luck

Quiet Mr. Wilks

Why do we like looking at tyres, treads and patterns? :? I wonder if its a disorder of some sort?

Yeah,Marlon,
I also am a fan of Vreds, but have Yet note and Michelin PSS on my M....tho will probably go back to Vreds in future.

First used all weather Quarter Vreds back in the 90s,which were excellent and they seem to last a long time, and continue to grip very well in wet and dry, even when they start to get near wear bars.
Superb tyres(just fancied a wee change the last time I changed).
