Mv2 18" wheels

Post by Mikey109g » Wed Sep 30, 2015 12:13 pm

Hi all, I have a set of mv2 alloys on my z4 coupe atm which in going to be upgrading to 19" csl's soon so the mv2's are up for grabs.
Their wrapped in marshal matrac xm Tyres with about 6mm tread all round. Their are a few curb marks etc but I'm going to be getting them refurbed before sale so who ever wants them can choose exactly which color they want.
I really don't know how much these are worth so any advice on this would be most appreciated.

Many thanks

Id be interested in these in silver depending on how much you want for them. Something around the £300 mark as suggested?

I think 350 is abit under priced. There are many of these on eBay and other sites for 300 with curb marks and poor tyres so I think I'm looking more at the 400-450 mark considering the the tyres are in very good condition.

You can ask what you want , a lot depends on the finished article you offer up :?
is the refurb "tyres off , blast & full repaint" or is it a face spray with tyres left on & nothing done to the backs ?
The cheapo tyres won't be desirable to most forum buyers so perhaps Ebay of Gumtree would get you the most cash

I got 400 for a set of freshly powder coated mv2 with Michelin pilots all round with good tread.

I've sold approx 15 sets over the past couple of years - which is what I based my assumption on
18 Z4s owned to date.

It will be full refurb. Shot blast then powder coat. Primer, 2-4 coats of color depending on wether it's a Chrome, gloss, satin or matte finish then lacquer.
Anyone who's interested just drop me a pm.

Easy done  no difference noticed in comfort ,ride or roadnoise up to the 19s
I did go for 35 profile rubber though
ps , i did try a set of OEM style 296 19s with runflat 30 profile rear / 35 profile front on previous Z & thanks but no thanks
Hardened the ride noticeably from the 18s & intorduced a little tramlining at errr certain speeds

Thanks for the info! I haven't had the displeasure of trying runflats so far but I've heard there a no go so will be staying away from them!

Not yet, there still on the car as there was a problem with the new set I bought. Problems sorted now though and the mv2's will be ready to go by Thursday.
