How tight are your nuts?
Just bought a torque wrench. Anyone know what I set it to for 296 wheel nuts? Can't find decent info anywhere.

I use 120 Nm torque for my wheel bolts, although I believe that some owners use 100 Nm.Punter wrote:Just bought a torque wrench. Anyone know what I set it to for 296 wheel nuts? Can't find decent info anywhere.

Depends on the bolt:
M12 = 120 +/-10 Nm (E85/6)
M14 = 140 +/-10 Nm
But I don't have TIS that covers E89.

120nm is what BMW dealers use. I asked them a few years ago.
