Roof concerns

Post by Tabz123 » Sat Apr 29, 2017 2:25 pm

Hi All

A little nervous about my roof mechanics so a guidance/ reassurance needed

Yesterday the wife left a can of tyre slick in one of the side spaces in boot and attempted to put roof down, of course it failed and crumpled the can slightly. I checked the roof and it open and closes ok albeit a bit noisey ( but no noiser than when we first bought it). Today after washing it I notice a ight cloudy mark on the inside of both bottom corners of back window. Unsure if this is a sign of the strain the mechanisn took or not. Hard to show on photos !

Also how do you clean the intricate parts of the inside roof as its either open or closed. Anyway to stop it midway for cleaning ?

Use the key fob to open it and stop/start/stop at the appropriate points.

I have the same in the left corner. Think it's just discolouration.
Last time I think I used some black paint under the glass to re-colour.
Will try again in a few days
I think it's just a water stain in a hairline gap.
