Unsettled back end

Post by Jph009 » Fri Feb 24, 2017 6:52 pm

So, i've recently noticed that my car feels a bit twitchy at the back, but only on the near side... Usually when going round a right hand bend, going left seems fine.

I've had a local mechanic take it for a test drive and have a quick look but whilst he can feel the issue, he cant seem to see whats wrong!

Tyre pressures are fine, no broken drop links/ ARB etc, suspension looks okay. Running out of ideas as to what it could be?!

Last time I felt something like this on a car it was a broken drop link on my RX8. Anyone here got any thoughts?

Thanks

Rear trailing arm bush is my first suggestion not always easy to spot with a visual inspection

Broken spring? Can be hard to spot if it's near the end.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

The tyres are Bridgestone Potenza run flats , still 3-4mm tread left on them and have been fine. Its just the one corner which is leading me to think suspension etc. I'll get my mate to take another look at the spring and the bush.

I honestly cant wait to get rid of the run flats though... going to get some Falken FK453s as a replacement when they are worn down as they were brilliant on my RX8.
