Water pouring out from under bonnet

Post by Sgreen » Wed Feb 22, 2017 1:50 pm

After I have washed my car I always open all doors etc to dry thoroughly. But when popping the bonnet and lifting it up lots of water pours out from behind the heat shield/ sound deadening on the bonnet and pours down the rear of the engine. Is this normal or just my car? Should there be seals on the washer jets to stop water from getting underneath?

Happily no heavy sound deadening required in the old ///M bonnet. :D

I've heard of this before, I think there was a problem with the washer jets leaking underneath the bonnet? I think the car needed replacement bonnet jets :?
