Hi,
I have had my 63 Z4 28i for a couple of weeks. It has Sat Nav and a USB port in the armrest (no sign of a USB in the glove box).
I signed up for BMW Connect drive and paid for a 2 year subscription to USB Map Updates. I downloaded BMW File download Manager and successfully installed the data on a Sandisk 32gb USB 3.0 stick formatted to FAT32 The file size is 22gb. The car would not recognize the USB stick. I contacted BMW Customer Services and they suggested getting another USB stick. I purchased a Toshiba 64gb USB stick. I formated in FAT32 both on my PC and my wife's Mac. ON neither instances would the car recognize the stick. I tried with just the key in, with the ignition on and with the engine running but no luck. The USB sticks contain a folder called pkgdb (with loads of sub folders) and a file called config.nfm.
Has anyone got any ideas please
Thank you

USB Map Update failure
The map update must be done using the USB in the glove box. I’d b amazed if your 2013 car doesn’t have on.
Are you sure it’s not there? It’s right at the top, right hand side, not easy to see or get to in my experience.

100% has to be done via the glove box and my car happily read a 128gb sandisk ultra
