WTB 3.0si convertible
Hi, newbie on here, just sold my Mini JCW and looking to buy a convertible 3.0si (2.5si considered if it's special) for the summer, well looked after mechanically, not bothered about a few stonechips, must have M sports heated seats, and M steering wheel, and be manual, other options aren't as important. Max budget of £8k, looking for FSH, things like the water pump/bushes being replaced are a bonus, prefer under 90k mileage but will consider higher for well looked after ones.
Week off from the 28th and looking to buy during that week.
Cheers, Chris.
P.S. stuck driving a skoda fabia atm, so need to buy soon for my sanity. Based down in Cornwall but willing to travel.
P.S.S Will be getting an inspection done at a bmw/specialist near you before buying, so must be ok with this.

Hi Chris
(Dreamer89)
Welcome to the Forum..
Good place to gain valuable inside knowledge on the Z4
Lots of knowledgable & invaluable people on here, will readily assist you - with answers to any questions, you may have..
Reference your quest for a Z4 3.0 Si, Roadster - now you've parted with your Mini JCW:
I'd add, what your preferences are in body colours; interior trim and seats; as well as preferred options..
Not forgetting your ideal max £'s budget and max' miles on a preferred car.
And: I'd not discount a Z4M Roadie, if I were you..
Now and then, they do pop up now and then, sometimes at sensible money
Best of luck with your quest..
Cheers..

Hi and welcome OP.
For me it had to be a Coupe! Although I can see the appeal of a Roadster, just not for me.
Either way the 3.0Si is a great engine, so I hope you find one you like soon.
Oh, and don't forget to post photos when you do!

Thanks for the advice guys, added some more detail, colour isn't too important, (though estoril blue would make me drool, is it even an option for facelift z4s?)
Yeah, was considering a 2.5si, but heard such good things about the 3.0si I know I'd regret it if I went lower spec.
P.S. Don't think the M is for me, bit too much car for my first rear wheel drive

Good choice!
My wife and I have just returned from a trip down to SW Germany and Switzerland in our 3.0Si and they are fabulous cars. The engine is easily powerful enough and over the whole trip the dash showed a mpg of 34.
Even though I now also own a Z4MR and an Alpina Roadster S (though I don't have too much experience of actually driving them) I'd say in some ways the 3.0Si feels the nicest to drive!
Good luck with the search!

Hi Dreamer89 hope you find your Z4si, only saying as I'm also in Cornwall, having just picked up mine last month a Z4si 3L but auto only done 22900 but what fun when in sports mode its unreal, and the manual paddles are also a blast. Make sure you get the 3si I had a manual Z3 and having the auto now is more relaxing when I want it to be.
Need a Cornish Zed Run
Kit
Old Z3 2.2 Sport Grey White leather Great car looks just the part, Current Z4 3.0si Sport Auto Grey Red Leather better car great engine handling super, not as pretty as the 3, 2 different cars

Sadly I don't think Estoril Blue was an option on facelift Z4s.Dreamer89 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2017 2:50 am Thanks for the advice guys, added some more detail, colour isn't too important, (though estoril blue would make me drool, is it even an option for facelift z4s?)

It was either Monaco Blue Metallic which is pretty dark, or Montego Blue Metallic like mine!

Excellent choice of car .. I think that they are seriously underrated
Hope your search goes well
I saw a really lovely looking one on the z4 Facebook group the other day 42k high spec 56 reg and he was asking £8900 .. it looked lovely
I think the value of these cars is outstanding and that can only be a good thing as they get older and possibly more sought after

Just wanted to say that ive bought my 3.0si now, loving it, had to drive it 4 hours, and through london to get it back to Cornwall, managed to be the perfect mix of sporty yet comfortable, now to try it out on some nice coastal roads near me
