2006 e85 Z4 roadster 3.0si 41,000 miles ***SOLD***

Post by Robz » Sat Jun 03, 2017 3:50 pm

I am looking to sell my 2006 '56' BMW Z4 roadster 3.0si. It is in black with red leather seats and piano black trim. The mileage is currently at 41,650 but the car is still in occasional use so this may go up.

It has MOT until 01st January 2018 and service history (11304 miles, 25850 miles, 29275 miles all at BMW and I changed the oil at 40320 miles). The specification includes heated electric memory seats, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, multi function steering wheel and cup holders. It has the standard BMW Business radio (no satnav) but it does have an auxiliary plug under the heater controls which I think was an extra.

I bought the car in January from a member on here but sadly I am finding little opportunity to use it and really need a more practical car that I can put roof bars on. Whilst I have owned it I have serviced it with the correct BMW specification Shell Helix Ultra synthetic oil, replaced the air filter and I have put back the correct silver grills (I will include matt ones it had when I bought it too). The only non standard bits I am aware of now are a stubby aerial and Machine Monkey exhaust tips.

Please see below the link to the previous member's advert for it which includes photos. I will add some current photos soon (as I haven't had a chance to clean it since I came back from a recent trip to Germany in it).

It would benefit from the wheels being refurbished but is otherwise a tidy car which has been well looked after.

Located in Surrey near junction 8 M25. I appreciate that I haven't been a member on here for long or made much of a contribution but since I bought it from here I thought I would put it on here first.

£8450.

You want 200 quid more than it previously sold for. Despite adding 2,000 miles to it?

Odd way of trying to sell a car

I don't think it's odd, people pay more for soft tops in the summer so it's a fair ask

Regarding the price when I bought the car it was also advertised on Autotrader at £8450 and after I had agreed the sale the previous owner had people through Autotrader offering him the full asking price. I have spent money on it since I have owned it and whilst I have done a couple of thousand miles I don't see that it will have depreciated. Plus as Pastry has kindly noted demand for soft tops is higher in summer.

Yep, A little harsh Ben considering seasonal variations, plus he's done a little bit to it and that's only his asking price, not necessarily his selling price. I'd guess he'd probably be happy to negotiate, and break near even having had a little joy from it too. (JMO)

Nice looking Zed. Why anyone cares what you're selling your car for is beyond me. It's free market.
Good luck with the sale.

It's not a problem, I just wasn't aware we were allowed to sell things for a profit on here.

That's good news though, as I have Sport seats to sell and I will be able to sell them on here without silly comments

If that's how the rule is applied then it could stump a few frothy market ///M owners then

Lovely car :D as for £200 more it isn't a big deal at all as nobody gets the asking price so you have to add a bit on for haggling don't you :) I know I would and when it sells it will be for slightly less than he is asking but it is a great low mileage example.
