Make sure you know where your keys are, otherwise you'll be going home in a sterling Grey ///M instead.Lynchy wrote:Brands next week sounds good Al

Hi All , I thought I'd do a little write up on how the last two days have gone .
It started out yesterday with a 15 minute train ride at 9:45am from Slade Green St to the Woolwich Arsenal St where my wife and I got on the DLR at 10:01 to the London City Airport . Arrived there in about 10 mins .
Our flight wasn't until 11:30 am so we were there a little early so we sat and chatted over a cuppa.
Once through security at 11ish we made our way through to the departure lounge ( Donna got searched....again )
I am usually a little apprehensive before I fly but once on board it only took an hour to get to Edinburgh Airport , a far cry from the 24 hours it took to fly to Brisbane a couple of years ago .
Once out of the airport I rang John who was already there waiting to pick us up . I didn't know what to expect because admittedly our emails sometimes come across the wrong way . The man I met was a straight talking honest man and we chatted all the way back to his home . As we approached John's home I could just see the back end of his ///M sticking out and it looked goooood I was very pleased with the condition of the car especially as John kindly had the tyres changed over from winter to summer that morning . The hardtop wasn't on at the time and while we went for a drive my wife waited in Johns home ( he has the biggest TV I've ever seen ) .
After the drive I knew that I wanted his car so he knocked another 2k off and sold it to me for £7000 .......
Just kidding . We went through the paperwork etc and then we put the hardtop on . We will arrange at a later date to get the winter tyres sent to me . I thanked John for this opportunity , we said our goodbyes and began the long journey home . By the way he also left me with plenty enough fuel ....top man
We stopped off at a Holiday Inn just after Darlington and spent the night .
The next day after breakfast we drove the 246 miles home . Not a lot to report on that except I drove carefully and only tested out the loud pedal a few times.
I would just like to say a massive thank you to John for choosing me to buy his car at such a great price Hope you enjoy reading , Eddie ......oh and by the way I didn't get lost

Maybe. Depends. I still hanker for a red one sometimes. Keep your keys close ... Though you'd not be left with a s**t car if you had mineLynchy wrote:He wouldn't , would he ?srhutch wrote:Make sure you know where your keys are, otherwise you'll be going home in a sterling Grey ///M instead.Lynchy wrote:Brands next week sounds good Al
And it's silver grey - this, from the man who obsesses about sapphire and black being used in the right order
