My e34 535i was Brilliant Red (Hellrot). Our e36/5 and e46 were both Silver. The X3 was Crimson Red. -- That turned a few heads in Germany.

So, following the pattern, our e89 is . . . .

Deep Sea Blue. I like Karmesinrot on the Z4 but you can't get it with M-Sport.

I believe most E89 in Deep Sea Blue are 2009 cars. When E89 was first launched in 2009, Deep Sea Blue was the most popular.

Since the start of 2011, most new car buyers want Alpine White.

I prefer the term "uni colour" instead of non metallic. You damn racist :fuelfire:

Come this years winter snow and you'll be one of us...
Where you gonna go, where you gonna run, where you gonna hide? Nowhere... 'cause there's no one like you left

Before ordering i did look at mineral white with the brown leather with white stitching
but its the wifes car so went with her colour choice of deep sea blue and beige leather with dark ash trim
The mineral white did look good as it went silver colour in different lights

Mines gonna be White, but I think the blue with cream leather is stunning....trouble is the leather would get dirty too quick for me, and I'm scarred of swirl marks showing on a dark colour.

her first colour choice was metallic black i did think that the blue would not show up swirls as much
When we ordered the sales man showed us a blue with cream leather and thats what swung the colour choice for her, she did not like the carbon effect trim with the cream leather so went for the dark ash trim as it blended better with the leather

The DSB is a knightmare to keep clean, I washed mine Friday and today you could see the dust all over it, the cream seats need cleaning about 4 times a year but it's so worth it.

However my next car will probably be obsidian black with red leather, because it cannot be that much harder to keep clean than the blue.

Nothing is harder than Black. Debbie had a Volvo V40 with a pearlescent Black with a subtle color flip depending on how the light caught it. It looked great in the showroom but what a pain. In Atlanta, it also turned the car into an oven.

I bought a DA buffer for it and endless bottles of various grades of polish, swirl remover, wax, swirl free polish....

I vetoed Monaco Blue for our e83. It looked great in the showroom but I knew it was going to be too much work.

The e89 is a more manageable size. I know DSB is going to be work but the car just looks so good in that color.
