Also read the posts on the cruise control fitting on the 3.0 models

Heres a link to the parts required;

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E85/R ... e_control/
http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/65710153114/#set

As Taz says a quick search you show you 'how to' etc. Cost of bits about £70 but it pays to shop around. Contact Joe at Sopers BMW Lincoln, who is doing good deals for Forum members on parts.

Edit: And if you do need the additional wiring the part number is: 61 12 0 394 848

you would need the addition loom if you car was built after Oct 2004 - build date can be found on the wheel arch under the bonnet (nearside IIRC)

and welcome to the forum :D

Cruise Control

Post by Adamski » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:15 pm

Stubby aerial vs the standard 'whip' aerial.
Cruise control fitted
Sound generator foam removed - nice roar inside the cabin now
Clear side repeaters - the orange side indicator repeaters have been swapped for clear ones
CDV - a nasty clutch delay valve has been removed
ZHP - weighted gear knob for better hear shifts

:)
