Yet another roof problem

Post by whenimeetgod » Fri Jun 02, 2017 11:05 am

Hi
I had the roof motor replaced about 6 months ago. Last night when I tried to open it, the orange warning light came on & the roof won't open, doesn't even drop the windows. Any ideas?

Tony

Have you checked the parcel shelf is fully in the down position?

I had a bit of a panic when this happened to me on Monday. Forgot that I'd shifted the shelf up Sunday to help with moving stuff

Missed the lovely sunny drive home from work too, shame!

If shelf is in lower position, move it up an back down, this may fix it , or the metal tab on the micro switch may have come off

You got it. Moved the shelf up and down and it's sorted

Thanks

I've got the exact same problem. Shelf is in the down position but When I moved it up & down, a little metal clip thing fell down. Would this be the micro switch tab that has been mentioned?

Yes, take out the switch (one screw) and put the metal clip back in. It's a bit fiddly so don't force it.

Yes it is. but if you just take the micro switch out and open it you can re assemble it very easily.

Cheers, tug

Thanks for the advice, once I managed to remove the housing it was easy enough to replace the metal clip and everything now working again
