Noisey fuel pump

Post by Paulr » Sun May 28, 2017 9:04 pm

Starting my 2003 2.5 up today and got a low, loud noise from the rear for a few seconds, which then goes away. It is coming from the area of the fuel tank so I suspect the pump is playing up. Are they difficult to change? If I leave it will it get better or just pack up and lave me stranded?

Any one had this sort of thing before?
If you try and take a cat apart the first thing you have is a non working cat.

Not unheard of especially as these cars get older , have you noticed any difference with a full tank of fuel ?
