Hi everyone
I have a 2007 facelift roadster. I have been researching about the roof motor issues (drowning in water). I don't have a problem yet.
I am confused with what I have read.
Where is the motor. I read it was moved?
Do the facelift cars suffer from the same issue or did BMW modify it.
Can it be recoded to get the key for to raise the roof. It already lowers it.
Kind regards

Just a quick roof question
The motor is in the same place on all roadsters.
Sooner or later, they all get wet to some extent, even those kept garaged! The design of the system unfortunately is poor.
I HAVE successfully coded a facelift roadster to allow raising of the roof from the key, during a recent relocation.

Thanks for the info. When you say closing the roof from the key, I presume you mean remotely from the jey fob? Mine already closes using the key in the drivers doir lock.
What software did you use for the coding?
