Discovered something missing whilst changing a bulb, I'm guessing it has something to do with the light adjustment but can't find on realism, anyone got a clue!?

The silver bit is the ballast I'm guessing. The bit you're talking about is outside of the plastic housing?
Have you looked at realoem?

It's a view of the back of the headlight from within the wheel arch, it's the right way up, there appears to be a gear missing, i think it meshes with the white gear in the middle. The metal most it sits on moves in and out to adjust the headlight direction i think.
I can't find it on realoem anywhere!

Don't know if this helps, but it looks like a black plastic gear or similar but does not meet the yellowish knurled wheel, or maybe a press-on retainer or cir-clip like the other one (red)? Obvious question but have you compared to the other side?

I hate to say it but I dont think the knob/gear is available separately. However can you turn the mech somehow without it? At the end of the day as long as it can somehow still be adjusted you can still keep the car legal etc.
