Good morning,
I have a rattling noise coming from the front middle of dashboard, sounds like it might be under the plastic cowling behind the wipers. I tried removing the wipers but after removing the nuts, they would not budge. I was worried about applying to much pressure to lever them off as I didn't want to damage the plastic cowling. Any Ideas please.
Kind regards Phil

2004 wiper arms
Hi Phill
Worth checking the strut braces are tight wher they bolt to the fire wall as this can cause a rattle / knock that sounds like it's coming from that area.
A bit of penetrating oil on the spindles and let it soak through may help release the arms.

As Stuart says, strut braces would be my first port of call.

Thanks guys,
I already checked the strut braces, this noise seems to be coming from below the plastic cowling beneath the wipers.

I cleaned out the wiper motor recently due to erratic wiping caused by too much grease on the wiper motor. This guide is really usefull:

As for getting the arms off, they are on bloody tight so unless you have a puller, use some anti seize, take a t break then jiggle+pull.
