Replacement Roof Motor Guy!!

Hello,

New guy to the forum and in need of help with the roof pump. I've bought a genuine roof pump from the dealer and just wondering if anyone knew of anybody to fit it in the Leicestershire area. Don't mind travelling further afield but need quoting a price.

Many thanks.

Dealers will do it for around £300 - £500, and leave it in situ. There are 4 people that I know of on the forum who will relocate the motor into the boot (preventing another water-based failure) for a lot less. I, and many others on the forum have made use of this service, and costs start at £80.

- Ducklakeview, based near Merseyside
- Dave, up in Durham (contact through cherrym)
- bowser134, covering the South
- Number5, in the Bristol area.

You could also try Andy fanshawe, he's based in Chesterfield, has a substantial thread called z4 project restoration, an I'm fairly sure he's also moved the roof motor

In Germany also a lot of people have issues with flooded roof motors in the E85. Most of the times the motor does not need to been replaced but will be removed to a new safe place inside the trunk and can be reanimated i.e. With WD40.

One of the most experinced guys is below. I know that everything is written in german, but I expect that also only pictures can explain it.
