Newbie in need of help with Sensors!

Reposting under "problems" forum...

I have pulled the front bumper from my 04 Z4 2.5i and upon putting back on I now have two hanging plugs coming from under the front bumper lower driver side. Those connect to two female spots on the inner under protecting plastic. I know that once pulled, my airbag indicator lit up on the dash, and my temp no longer is accurate.

Is there any danger to simply plugging back in to their appropriate spots? Does the car need to be on or off... does it matter? Also, is the airbag sensor (guessing the round one) activated by impact or another set of sensors?

Don't want to cause any issues so appreciate any help out there, thanks!

just plug them all back in... you might find the airbag sensor needs resetting at the dealers though, but i doubt it.

presumably it's some sort of frontal impact sensor.

Decided to move forward and plug em in.
Good news is my steering wheel didn't explode, bad news is both the airbag light is on and the temp reading -40F.

You are probably right about the dealer needing to reset.
I bet they charge me an arse load to mess with it.
