Heated mirrors are constantly on...

Hi, are the heated mirrors supposed to be on constantly? It was a very hot day today and my heated mirrors were still on and very hot. Is this normal? and is there any way I can turn them off?

Heated mirros are on all the time the ignition is regardless of temperature.

Dont think so, but mine heat up on there own if its cold outside. Never had that on any other BM's, only when the rear screen demist is on.
