Ahhh Nuts!!!

Help. I was putting in the Reinhold adapter last night and managed to shear one of the battery holding nuts. No problem I though, until I found out how much BMW want for a new one..... €120!!! So call going out to the comunity, has anyone got a spare replacement one or suggestions for a fix?

A simple stud extractor should remove that. Centre punch the broken bolt - drill the appropriate size hole, screw in the appropriate size stud extractor (reverse thread) and gently unscrew the offending piece. I am sure a local garage/mechanic should/would/can do it for a few £s in his/her (being PC here....) back pocket, I would have thought. If necessary you can then replace the lateral securing 'bit' with a simple bolt and nut to clamp the connector onto the terminal (like most cars have). Oh and use copper slip/vaseline or similar in reassembly to avoid any future problems.
